New Journey Therapies

About Us

At New Journey Counselling and Psychotherapy, we understand how challenging it can be to create positive and lasting change in our lives. The demands of everyday life can sometimes feel physically, mentally, and emotionally overwhelming.

We recognise that beginning a journey of self-discovery can feel daunting, which is why our fully trained Counsellors and Psychotherapists are here to support you from those important first steps through to achieving your personal goals. We are fully accredited meaning your therapy sessions can be covered by all major health insurance providers.

We are based in Athboy, Co. Meath, where we offer in-person appointments in a safe and supportive environment. We also work with clients across Ireland and internationally, providing flexible access to therapy online or via telephone, ensuring you can receive support in a way that suits your needs, wherever you are.

Our Services

Psychotherapy and Counselling

We offer sliding scale pricing for people who are unemployed, working part-time or full-time.

New Journey Therapies services are accepted by all major health insurance providers.

We also provide our services in English, Spanish and Polish.

01

Individual Therapy

We provide our clients with a safe confidential environment to connect with themselves while being supported in a compassionate, non-judgemental way.

The therapeutic bond that grows between the client and therapist allows the previously challenging topics to be explored at the client's pace. Once the initial consultation has been completed and the client's therapeutic goals have been outlined, our therapists will support and assist you with beginning your new journey.

02

Addiction

We provide support to those struggling with addiction or the effects of addiction on their families, such as:

- Alcohol dependencies

- Substance abuse

- Sexual addictions

- Self-harming behaviours

- Eating Disorders

We also provide support to Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACA).

03

Pet Bereavement

The bond between a person and their pet is often one of deep connection, comfort, and unconditional love. For many, pets are more than animals—they are confidants, protectors, and cherished members of the family.

Losing a beloved pet is a deeply emotional experience, often misunderstood or overlooked by others. Pet bereavement counselling offers a safe, compassionate space to process this unique loss and begin healing.
